SEATTLE SEAHAWKS VS. ATLANTA FALCONS – 10/27/2019 FREE PICK & NFL BETTING PREDICTION

Seattle has to be disappointed with their loss last week but they are still off to a good start. I keep waiting for their defense to get better but it might just be good enough.

Looks like nothing is good enough in Atlanta these days. They continue to be one of the greatest disappointments in the league and their coach is on the hot seat.

Seattle Seahawks

Seattle lost last week, at home, as a favourite against Baltimore. There was a lot of talk of them being overrated so maybe that is what we saw. They were tied at halftime but couldn’t get the job done. We are just not used to seeing that at home.

Last week the Seahawks just had no answer for Lamar Jackson. He was not beating Seattle with his arm but his legs were a factor – 116 rushing yards. Seattle’s defense is not great but that is somewhat of an anomaly because most teams can’t run their QB like that.

Russell Wilson had his worst game by far. Not only did he throw his first interception but he also completed less than 50% of his passes – in every other game he had been at 64% or higher. There is no reason not to expect a bounceback in this spot.

Seattle is giving up 25ppg, about double what they used to yield in those Super Bowl & Legion of Boom days. We have to get comfortable with the fact that this team is build differently.

They get a little bit lucky with such a good spot to get back to winning. Even though they are on the road.

Atlanta Falcons

So the Falcons laid another egg on Sunday, losing by 27 points at home to the Rams. The final result doesn’t look good but if you probe you also see that after going up 3-0 they gave up 30 unanswered points. These guys are toast.

The coach is still in place for now but maybe this is not straw that breaks the camel’s back. I am not expecting much fight even though Quinn is a former Seattle guy so maybe there could be a familiarity advantage.

Matt Ryan left last week’s game with an ankle injury and is day to day at the moment. His presence does make a difference but the backup is capable.

Last week it might have been more even but mostly it is the defense that has let the team down this season. They are second-last in the league allowing 31ppg.

Quinn has taken over on that side of the ball in a last-ditch hope to save his job. So far that is not working at all.

The hook is always dangerous but I still think we are getting good value here off recent results. Even more so if Matt Ryan is not good to go.

We keep waiting for Atlanta to show a spine and it hasn’t come. I love Wilson to be better than Ryan and Seattle’s defense is better than the Falcons too. Lots of advantages all over the field for the visitors.
