MIAMI DOLPHINS VS. PITTSBURGH STEELERS – 10/28/2019 FREE PICK & NFL BETTING PREDICTION

The Miami Dolphins still don’t have their first win of the 2019 season and they aren’t likely to get it in Week 8, when they travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers at Hines Field for Monday Night Football.

Miami Dolphins

Miami went into halftime with a 14–9 lead against Buffalo on Sunday. That score held up until the fourth quarter, when the Bills outscored the ‘Fins 22–7 and went on to win by ten.

Ryan Fitzpatrick started under center and played the entire way against his former team — no Josh Rosen. He finished 23/35 for 282 yards, one touchdown, one interception, and one rushing touchdown. He did a nice job getting the ball out quickly and avoided all sacks.

Davante Parker caught Fitzpatrick’s touchdown pass and finished with five catches for 55 yards. Preston Williams led the corps with six catches for 82 yards but he also lost a fumble.

That fumble set up the Bills’ second touchdown of the fourth quarter. The first came on a drive that started in the third and gave Buffalo the lead. The second was generated from a short field after the fumble and put a game that Miami recently led out of reach.

And if you think 14.5 is a big number this week, the Bills were -17 in Miami. It was Miami’s second consecutive cover.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Pittsburgh got Week 7 off to rest and saw Baltimore get a big win in Seattle to increase its divisional lead. The Ravens are 5–2, pulling away from the rest of the pack. Cleveland and Pittsburgh are both 2–4 and already three games off the division lead.

The Steelers have won two out of their last three, including their last game, on the road, against the Chargers.

The last time they were out, the Steelers were beating up on the Chargers until Phillip Rivers hung 17 points in a row on them in the fourth quarter to cut what was a 24–0 lead to 24–17. The comeback didn’t materialize and the Steelers hung on.

Devlin Hodges went 15/20 in that game and Benny Snell out-carried James Connor by one, though Conner did catch seven balls to lead all Steeler targets. In fact, Connor was the only receiver to catch more than two balls. Diontae Johnson had two and everybody else had one.

It’s Monday Night Football and while losing big at 1:00 pm on a Sunday is one thing, the Dolphins won’t want to be embarrassed on this stage.

I’m going to say Miami keeps it within 14 with a fourth quarter touchdown to sneak in the back door.
