PHILADELPHIA EAGLES VS. BUFFALO BILLS – 10/27/2019 FREE PICK & NFL BETTING PREDICTION

The Eagles just got crushed and most are giving the NFC East to Dallas now. Another loss and even the playoffs might not be possible. This team has looked really bad at times.

Buffalo might not have covered last week against Miami but they did not stumble either. They are not elite but that 5-1 record is great. The playoffs are coming back to Buffalo.

Philadelphia Eagles

This is going to be a really tough spot for Philly. It will be their third road game in a row and they are on a two game losing streak. Last week they looked really bad against Dallas, a good team but that was a three point spread and they lost by 27.

Turnovers were a factor as the Eagles lost three fumbles and had an interception but at the same time good teams don’t fumble it, right? I am not one of those that believes that fumbles are all random/luck. It is a symptom of a team that might be off its game.

Carson Wentz got big money but has been below the standard he set over the last couple of seasons. He has interceptions in the last two games and in three of their four losses.

The running game is not providing much in support either. Jordan Howard was supposed to be a nice pickup but his numbers are nothing special.

Ditto for the defense which was really good in those championship years. They are good against the run but in the bottom half of the league everywhere else.

Buffalo Bills

It was not really fair to make the Bills 17 point favourites against Miami. Sure the Dolphins are terrible but they are just not built to beat up teams like that. It was not a pretty game but good teams just win, which is what the Bills did.

Josh Allen is an interesting quarterback. I don’t want to call him a game manager because of his talents but really they just want him to not make mistakes and trust the team around him. He is getting better and better at that.

That included trusting the defense. They yielded 21 points to Miami which is more than their average but this group is 3rd in yardage and points allowed. Oddly that was the most points they have allowed all season long.

They might not be racking up the most sacks or turnovers but they are just so sound. They force you to be really precise and that is hard to do all the way down the field.

Buffalo has played well but they have done so in a way that is repeatable. That is why there is no reason to overly question their early 5-1 mark. .
