Winnipeg Jets vs. San Jose Sharks – 11/1/2019 Free Pick & NHL Betting Prediction

The Jets fly into the Shark tank and we expect a bloodbath. Perhaps that’s a little dramatic, but the Sharks owned the Jets last season, but with shaky goal tending from net minder Martin Jones (3.57 GAA .890 save percentage) the Jets, off to a middling start on the season, are hoping to change that and get back into playoff contention

Winnipeg Jets

Winnipeg, does not have a good power play unit, nor to they have a good penalty kill (last in the league) and over all their offense is on the anemic side (25th on goal scoring). They win by playing a defensive, patient game, backed by reliable goaltending from Connor Hellebuyck (2.53 GAA, .924 save percentage.)
They do have good offensive firepower in centre Mark Scheifele and left wing Nikolaj Ehlers to put San Jose on their heels.

San Jose Sharks

What happened to San Jose this season? Well for starters their star players go old, at in a shaky goaltending and it’s not a mix for success. They have lost four of their last five, and are a little banged up going into Friday’s contest.
Usually strong at home, the Sharks are severely hampered by lack of adequate net minding and the fact that star centre Logan Couture can’t seem to score.

Free Winnipeg Jets vs. San Jose Sharks NHL Prediction:

Winnipeg are not a good road team, they shine at home on good ice and a very supportive fan base. That said with Las Vegas next on this road trip, they are very conscious of needing to get the easier win in San Jose.
The underdogs going into San Jose, despite their injuries and general under performance to date, you have to like the price on Winnipeg (+130), but bet the under, as despite San Jose’s shaky goaltending, Winnipeg still need to pace themselves to pull out the win.
