ARIZONA COYOTES VS. NEW YORK RANGERS – 10/22/2019 FREE PICK & NHL BETTING PREDICTIONS

The Arizona Coyotes are off to a great start to the season but they need every game they can to keep up with red hot Edmonton atop the Pacific.

The Rangers are favored at home Tuesday, but that’s gotta be almost by default as they’ve dropped 4 straight games after starting 2-0.

The Coyotes can get this win on Tuesday and try to improve their record to 5-2-1. The Coyotes may be in 6th in the Pacific, but their 9 points is very respectable through 7 games.

Arizona is an underdog on Tuesday despite winning their last three games. Arizona is actually 4-0-1 in their last 5 with the lone loss being a 2-3 OT defeat in Colorado against one of the best teams in the league.

The offense has been working as of late for Arizona. Aside from the OT loss to the Avs, the Coyotes have scored at least 4 goals in 4 of the last 5 games. The Rangers are last in the league in SOG against and 27th in goals allowed.

Arizona should be able to net some pucks on Tuesday, but can their defense stop the Rangers? Arizona has held 6 of 7 opponents to 2 goals or less to start the season.

It will be Darcy Kuemper in net for the ‘Yotes looking to continue his great start to the season. Kuemper hasn’t allowed more than any of his 5 starts this year and has a save percentage of .949, 3rd best in the league.

New York Rangers

The Rangers seem like a weird favorite in this one considering they’ve dropped 4 straight games. It’s been poor offense that has doomed NYR as they’ve been held to 2 goals or less in every game during the slump.

New York did start off the season well, beating the Jets and Ottawa while scoring a combined 10 goals. New York still leaves a lot to be desired on that end of the ice however.

it’s not like the Rangers defense is picking up their end of the bargain either though. New York ranks 31st in the league in SOG against and is 27th in goals versus. The Rangers have allowed at least 4 goals in 4 of 6 games this year.

It will not be Henrik Lundvqist in net on Tuesday but rather Alexandar Georgiev. The 3rd year player got the win over lowly Ottawa earlier this year but was hit for 4 goals on 37 shots vs. the Devils last Thursday.
