The New York Islanders have really got on a roll as of late winning their last 5 contests and most recently a 4-2 win over the Phoenix Coyotes.
The Ottawa Senators are trending in the other direction with 4 straight losses and the weaknesses many talked about in preseason are beginning to show themselves.

New York Islanders

The New York Islanders did not have the best start to the season, but have really turned things around as of late and ill now look to build further momentum against the Senators this Friday.
Thomas Greiss is projected to get the start here and he has been as good as the Islanders could have asked as he is sporting a .930 save percentage and a 2.21 GAA.
There has not been one single guy who has done all the work for the Islanders this year as the production is mainly spread out between Barzal, Bailey and Nelson. The Islanders top line will be looking forward to this one as it should represent a decent opportunity to pad some stats against one of the worst teams in the league.

Ottawa Senators

The Ottawa Senators did not start the season too bad, but they have had a week to forget and will now look to stop the bleeding in front of the home fans in Ottawa.
Top line center Namestnikov has been the guy so far for this Senators team as he has 4 goals and 3 assists on the season. If the Senators are going to get over the line here they will need him to be on his game and lead this top line to some serious production Friday night.
Anders Nilsson is projected to get the start here and he has been a solid backup to Anderson this year with a .937 save percentage. He likely gets peppered in this game so he will likely need to make 35+ saves for the Sens to be in this one come the third period.
