CALGARY FLAMES VS. NASHVILLE PREDATORS – 10/31/2019 FREE PICK & NHL BETTING PREDICTION

It’s going to be a scary Halloween for the Flames, who travel to meet growing powerhouse Nashville Predators.

Bridgestone Arena can be a tough rink to play in, especially when Nashville fans have been drinking and get very vocal. Plus they have lost to cheer about, with the Predators sitting near the top of the Western Conference.

So do we consign Calgary to the graveyard? Well let’s not be quite that hasty.

Calgary Flames

Some analysts are already writing off Calgary’s season, which is a mistake. Despite a less than stellar October, they have shown signs of life. Calgary goalie Dave Rittich has a respectable .910 save average with an average 2.86 goals against, he could keep Calgary in the game Thursday.

Offensively, centre Elias Lindholm leads the team in scoring and quarterbacks the power play. But Calgary is hardly an offensive powerhouse. There best tactic (hope) is that Rittich keeps them in the game long enough to capitalize on any mistakes the predators might make.

Nashville Predators

So what’s so scary about Nashville? Lately (if you’re the opposing team) just about everything. A team built on defense, with reliable back-stopper, Pekka Rinne in net, they’ve seem to have found an offensive jump in their game as well. With centre Nick Bonino scoring a hat trick against Chicago in the Predators last outing on Tuesday, and offensive defenseman Roman Josi always a threat from the blue line.

It’s tough to find a reason to bet against the Predators in this match-up they just have to many weapons at their disposal to use against the struggling Flames, who as noted have to rely far too heavily on Dave Rittich, and vocal Nashville fans will be doing their best to throw him off his game.
