We have reached week 8 of the NFL season and this is a huge showdown between two teams who are in must win games right now.

The Los Angeles Chargers make the trip to Soldier Field to take on the Chicago Bears. The total in this game is set at 40.

Los Angeles Chargers

The Los Angeles Chargers had high expecations coming into the season but they have not lived up to the expectations and even if they win this game it’s going to be very tough for this team to get themselves back into the playoff race.

They have been close in most of the games, but they haven’t been able to get the scores late to come away with a victory.

In their last game against the Titans, they were on the one yard line with a chance to go-ahead for the winning touchdown but Melvin Gordon fumbled, and that led to the loss. Gordon talked a lot about needing more carries to get going but after the fumble, it will be interesting to see how the backfield rotation shapes up for this game.

The offense has been a problem and they need to play whoever gives them the best chance to come away with the victory.

On the defensive side the Chargers have been really good giving up only 20.1 points per game which is 10th best in the NFL.

Chicago Bears

On the other side of this matchup is the Chicago Bears who really look like they have a big problem on their hands with their quarterback.

After winning three of their first four games they have struggled in their last couple games and it has led to a couple losses.

In their last game against the New Orleans Saints, they put up 25 points but most of that came in garbage time, and Mitchell Trubisky struggled to even hit the open receivers.

Trubisky needs to figure it out soon, or the Bears might have to figure out if they want to make a change at quarterback.

On the defensive side the Bears did struggle against the Saints, but they are still giving up only 17.5 points per game which is fifth best in the NFL.
