Athletics avoid elimination with Game 3 win over Astros

The Oakland Athletics avoided a sweep by beating the Houston Astros 9-7 in Game 3 of their ALDS series.

The Astros still lead the series 2-1 with Game 4 scheduled for Thursday afternoon.
