WASHINGTON WIZARDS VS. SAN ANTONIO SPURS – 10/26/2019 FREE PICK & NBA BETTING PREDICTION

Saturday, October 26 finds the Washington Wizards on the road to hosts the San Antonio Spurs. This is the second game for the Spurs while the Wizards will be playing their third match and the second game of a back to back having played in OKC Friday.
Last season, the squads played twice with the Spurs winning both games. The Spurs hold the all-time record having bested the Wizards in 60 of their 93 matches.

Washington Wizards

The first game of the season ended in a loss with the team’s superstar Bradley Beal watching from the locker room having been ejected from the game for picking up back to back technical fouls.
As the game got chippier, Beal picked up the first tech for arguing with the Mavericks players. His second tech and ejection was doled out for what the ref deemed as the star mocking and disrespecting him.
Five Wizards scored in double-digits in the loss to the Mavericks. Bradley Beal led the way with 19 points while Thomas Bryant and rookie Rui Hachimura each scored 14 points. Moritz Wagner scored 13 points and Jordan McRae chipped in with 11 points.
The Wizards are already dealing with numerous injuries not the least of which is John Wall who’ll miss the season. Jordan McRae (finger) and CJ Miles (foot) are both out indefinitely.
Other longer term injuries are Ian Mahinmi (strained Achilles) out until mid-November and Troy Brown (calf) out until early December.
The one player who may be available for the weekend is Isaiah Thomas who underwent thumb surgery this offseason.

San Antonio Spurs

Four of the five Spurs starters scored in double-digits. LaMarcus Aldridge led the way with 22 points while Bryn Forbes (20) Dejounte Murray (18), and DeMar DeRozan/Rudy Gay each chipped in 13 points. It was a typical Spurs team effort and victory.
Prior to the match Spurs coaching master Gregg Popovich sounded off on how the Marcus Morris free agency situation was handled by the Knicks. Morris had committed to join the Spurs and then bailed to join the Knicks. Popovich called the situation unprofessional.
At game end, Popovich approached Morris and the pair exchanged words seemingly putting the situation behind them although Pops remains disenchanted with the Knicks brain trust.
In the polar opposite situation of the Wizards, the Spurs have no injuries.
