TENNESSEE TITANS VS. CAROLINA PANTHERS – 11/3/2019 FREE PICK & NFL BETTING PREDICTION
Tennessee has won its last two games to get back to .500 and back to relevant in the AFC. With half a season in the books their season could go either way.
Carolina has to realize they are going to be hard-pressed to catch New Orleans in the NFC West but they could definitely make the playoffs. I am not sure how good this team really is though.
Tennessee Titans
The Titans have had one of the weirdest seasons in the NFL. They began by drubbing Cleveland and hit a low point when getting shutout at Denver. They have followed that up with back to back wins so anything is possible over the second half of the season.
I am still not a fan though. Ryan Tannehill is now the starter at quarterback and if that is an upgrade it is because Marcus Mariota had sunk so low. Eventually Tannehill proves he is average at best.
In recent years the Titans have had a really effective ground game but that is not the case this season. They are not even averaging 100 yards on the ground and that is with Derrick Henry and mobility at the quarterback position.
The defense has been pretty good all season and is keeping them in it. Tennessee is 4th in points allowed and 9th in yards. That looks sustainable.
Though I am not a fan I can see the Titans having some success this week. .
Carolina Panthers
Last week was ugly for Carolina. They were coming off a bye, were at home and got destroyed by San Francisco. Apparently Kyle Allen is not the second coming of (insert name here).
Allen through three interceptions and lost his first game as a starter. He has filled in admirably but there is a chance Cam Newton resumes his role this week.
With Allen at the helm they have been competent offensively. It is hard not to be when you can hand off or throw the ball to Christian McCaffery. He is catching a few less balls this season but overall his numbers are better.
Defensively the Panthers have been about the middle of the pack. When Carolina has been good they have been a lot stronger in that area. 51 points last week leaves a mark on your numbers too.
Carolina has been a question mark without Cam Newton and his status is still unknown. For this one. I can make an argument for either side in this one.
