MINNESOTA VIKINGS VS. KANSAS CITY CHIEFS – 11/3/2019 FREE PICK & NFL BETTING PREDICTION

This one is going to hang out there a little until we know the status of Patrick Mahomes. If he is healthy enough to play the Chiefs may wind up being the favourite.

Minnesota is a good team, perhaps a very good one, but there is still something that people don’t like about them. We need to see more before we can really be pro Vikings. .

Minnesota Vikings

Minnesota has won four games in a row but they are just 2-2 on the road this season. KC might be down a key man but Arrowhead is still no picnic for visitors. Further Kirk Cousins is known for not showing up against the better teams in the league.

The Vikings do have a little extra rest for this one as they played last Thursday, beating the Redskins 19-9. It was a sluggish performance but that seems to always be the case for TNF.

It was nice to see the defense only give up 9 points but keep in mind that was against a lame Washington offense. KC even without Mahomes has dangerous playmakers.

The running game continues to lead the offense. Dalvin Cook is averaging more than 100ypg and has touchdowns in every game but one this season.

The defense will be challenged. They will have to prepare a couple of different game plans though depending on who ultimately is the quarterback for the Chiefs.

Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs have lost three of four but there is no reason to panic. They still have a couple of wins over the Chargers and Raiders in the AFC West.

As long as they can keep things at least even until Mahomes returns they should be in great shape to return to the playoffs.

Matt Moore has been OK but there is a reason he was out of the league last season. One thing that showed up in their loss to Green Bay was some creativity in getting the ball to the playmakers. It just wasn’t enough.

Kansas City needs to tighten up the defense too. Even with Mahomes it is hard to win games when you are giving up more than 30 points. Minnesota is less finely tuned on offense than Green Bay.

Being at home will help KC and Moore looks to be getting more comfortable. Still a shot in the arm by a healthy Mahomes could really push this team to dominate.

I kind of like the riskiness of knowing that Mahomes might play in this one. Could be a value stealer if that number flips completely. I also like that Moore is getting more comfortable at the reins.
